Starting the One Year Bible

The word guides us, grows our faith and moulds our hearts.

Psalm 119:105 says; Your word is a lamp for my feet,
a light on my path.
Romans 10:17 says; faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
And Hebrews 4:12 says; For the word of God is alive and powerful. It is sharper than the sharpest two-edged sword, cutting between soul and spirit, between joint and marrow. It exposes our innermost thoughts and desires.

The Bible is not just another book with long boring parts, although I know it can feel that way at times. Somehow almost mysteriously God uses it to communicate with us, encourage us, challenge us and direct us. We want to do all we can to encourage you to read your bible more than ever in 2012.

Surveys of over 1000 churches have revealed that there is nothing more powerful and catalytic in one’s spiritual growth journey than reflecting on Gods word. It’s a practice that accelerates your growth wherever you are at on the journey; just getting to know Jesus or living fully for him.

We encourage you to take up the challenge and read the bible in a year – it means you have to read about 3 chapters a day.

You can sign up for reminders and a plan on the YouVersion link (you will need to set the start date to 1st Feb) or you can download the PDF.

We will blog weekly here with links, videos, and thoughts to help bring the scripture more to life.
We Look forward to going on this journey with you.
