Mosaic Core Values

WIND (Commission)
Core Conviction: The Bible is God’s authoritative word to us.
Core Value: Mission is why the church exists
Wind represents the intentional movement of God throughout history. We are a community of movement, a community that exists for a purpose; a community of people who follow where He leads us, go where He sends us, hear the answers He gives us and see people as He sees them. Mission is why the church exists. We are the church, and we are here for the world. Wind represents the intentional movement of God throughout history.
WATER (Community)
Core Conviction: Jesus is the only hope for a lost and broken world.
Core Value: Love is the context for all mission.
Like a stone thrown into water creates ripples, the way we live in community affects people around us. We were not made to operate in isolation, but in the context of loving community. Mission is why the church exists, but mission is only healthy when love is the context for all Mission.
WOOD (Connection)
Core Conviction: Every christian is called and gifted by God to serve the body and seek the lost.
Core Value: Structure must always submit to Spirit.
Church is an organic entity. it breathes and grows and changes. We will always move and grow in a way that best connects people to life (John 15:5). like a garden, structure is there to support life, not to hinder it; structure must submit to spirit.
FIRE (Communion)
Core Conviction: The church is called to whole earth evangelism.
Core Value: Relevance to culture is not optional.
God is described as a consuming fire. Connecting with the Living God is one of the most important encounters in the human experience. We aim to remove every obstacle that can get in the way of this connection and create to environment where people encounter God and are transformed. That’s why relevance to culture is not optional.
EARTH (Character)
Core Conviction: The local church is God’s agent for redemptive change.
Core Value: Creativity is the natural result of spirituality.
Good soil, or earth, produces good fruit. our relationship with Jesus is a transforming journey of character where we become more and more like Jesus; like good soil (Matt 13:3). As we journey with Jesus our character is transformed in such a way that we become free to fulfill our God given potential; Creativity is the natural result of spirituality.
