Our Structure
The question we are always asking ourselves “ What kind of environment, what kind of process & programs will support our vision and mission. What kind of structure will best support us for now?”
We are always mindful of a comment Jesus made about structure.
Matt. 9.17 “And no one puts new wine into old wineskins. For the old skins would burst from the pressure, spilling the wine and ruining the skins. New wine is stored in new wineskins so that both are preserved.”
The main characteristic on a new wine skin is its ability to stretch. Which is just as well as the new wine contents would expand as a natural part of the maturing process so inflexible wineskins were a recipe for disaster. The implications of Jesus teaching are pretty clear. Structure must submit to Spirit. Structure must not dictate what God can/can’t do through us.
Mt Mosaic does have structure but we remain committed to the following principles
1. Structure must submit to Spirit
2. Structure must effectively serve our vision & mission & values
3. Structure must be simple
4. All structure has a used by date.
Environment team.
- This team of people is responsible for the big picture.
- They are to develop and steward a healthy growing environment for Mt Mosaic.
Mosaic Ministry Leaders.
- These people are the most visible leaders in Mt Mosaic. They lead the teams of ministries Mt Mosaic runs.their job is lead, empower, foster and inspire MT Mosaic ministry teams within their specific area of activity.

Mosaic Guests, Family & Team
Understanding Jesus & spiritual maturity is a journey. At Mosaic we recognise that fact. We are trying hard to ensure that you receive the appropriate help and encouragement along your journey at the same time respecting your privacy & need to set your own pace.
Without wanting to categorise anyone we see three very broad stages in your journey towards spirituality.
Stage 1: From Community to guest
Usually people at this stage are very new to church & Jesus. Many are here for the very first time. May be a friend brought you or some other life circumstance has you here. What ever reason connects you to us for the first time, WELCOME.
Stage 2: Moving from Guest to Family
To become a “member’ of Mosaic, there isn’t a process.
To be a part of our community at Mosaic, all you need to do is come.
We will do our best to serve you, teach, share with you, love you, and allow you to serve no matter where you are in your spiritual journey.
Stage 3: Moving from Family to Mt Mosaic Team
We work in teams. We find the team metaphor works well for us. Some important things that we learn from teams in general are:
1. You get to choose to be on a team. We clarify the expectations of being on the team and make it easy for you to choose
2. When you are on a team you learn skills etc to become a valuable player
3. In a team you know what to expect from the other players
The Mt Mosaic Team commitment
1. I will invest my passions –
- I will honor God by following Christ personally and passionately.
- My reputation is Christ’s reputation and the church’s reputation.
2. I will invest my talents –
- I will participate in the life of the congregation through authentic worship, sharing, learning, and serving.
3. I will invest my resources –
- I will support the Gospel here and worldwide by tithing and then by giving more as the Lord leads.
- I will invest my time, skills, talents, and gifts in and through the church.
4.I will invest my in relationships
- I will develop authentic loving relationships with others in the church and establish encouraging relationships with those who do not know Jesus.
How to get on the team - the process
1. You need to have made a focused commitment to Jesus Christ.
2. You will need to have been baptised
3. You will need to be an active part of a small group or actively be serving others in a small team
4. You will need to have been to a vision, mission & values teaching session. These will be advertised via web-site & weekly notes
5. You will need to make a commitment to our team agreement.
If you are interested in being on the MT Mosaic team - please contact the staff at the Connection Hot Spot at one of our gatherings.
